TAARAA MARMA

Taaraa Marma is the second Album released by Chandana Bala Kalyan. It is a collection of six compositions composed and sung by Chandana Bala and the music is produced by Vinayak Netke.

Guruvina Gulama

This is a Guru Bhakti Geet. The idea of freedom and slavery are juxtaposed beautifully. Purandaradasaru says that unless one becomes a Gulama (slave) to his Guru one shall not attain Mukti (freedom/ salvation).

Emisetura Linga

Emisetura is a Nirguni Tatva Padam in Telugu. Here the poet urges the devotee to see beyond just the rituals. He says while one part of the living race believes certain things to be pure and worthy of being offered to the Lord, the other part challenges and proves them to be dirty and defiled.

While he wishes to bathe the idol with the holy waters of the Ganges the fish and the tadpole claim to have defiled it with their spit.

Naanolidenayya

This is a Vachana written by Akkamahadevi in Kannada. Akka says that she has fallen for the most gorgeous man- Lord Shiva himself whose Looks are beyond form, whose existence is beyond birth and death, and who is free of the worldly woes. It's this guy Channamallikarjuna whom she chooses as her husband.

Gee Gee pada

Gee Gee pada is a folk genre from the North Karnataka region. This is a Tatva pada there are many messages Purandaradasaru shares with the world like the importance of keeping the interior (the soul) as clean as sweet as the exterior (body). Importance of delving deeper into oneself than just hovering around and so on.

Ammoru Talli

Ammoru Talli is a Telugu Folk devotional song in praise of Ammoru the Grama devata also called Bhairavi. It's a celebration of the annual festival of Amma where the devotees throng at the temple gates carrying a thousand unfulfilled wishes to be granted by the mother. Each one offering to please the mother in exchange for a fulfilled desire.

Mokko kahaan

Kabir speaking as the Divine urges the devotee to stop looking for the supreme in physical destinations, in forms, in rituals and the like instead asks to seek in one's belief "Main toh hoon vishwas mein".
